MicroCrete Installation – What to Expect
MicroCrete is applied in stages by hand, resulting in a unique, layered finish. Here’s what you can expect when you choose a MicroCrete surface:
1. Prep Work
We clean, level, and stabilise the existing surface — whether it’s timber, tile, screed, or plasterboard. In bathrooms, a full waterproofing system is applied.
2. Base & Build-Up Layers
A primer and base coat are applied first. This is followed by 1–3 coats of pigmented MicroCrete, each carefully sanded and finished to your spec.
3. Sealing & Finishing
We apply a protective sealer to protect from water, stains, and wear. Finishes include matt, satin, or polished effects depending on your preference.
Most small projects take 3–5 days including drying time. Larger installs or more intricate surfaces may require a longer schedule.
